This is a major warning that Víntegris CEOFacundo Rojo performed to Latin American banks in Cl@b 2014 conference, held in mid September in Panama.
During his lecture "Security for mobility and the cloud, new challenges in the financial sector," Facundo Rojo alerted banks about the urgency of implementing security features in the business functions (development of micro services), systems automated and centralized management and control of digital certificates, encryption systems and methods for strong user authentication.
For Rojo "only in this way will the banks will be able to address the current security challenges in the financial sector, aimed at ensuring the customer a safe and quick access to its accounts from any device," a challenge urgent given that, as circulated in the congress, 69% of Latin Americans with bank accounts alrady transacts online. This, according to Facundo Rojo, "places strong demands for banking, that should be able to enable multiple forms and channels of customer care, perform treatment and an analysis of massive data online and customize security by user type."
Cl@b is an annual event that brings together executives responsible for the operational management in different areas of financial business, financial institutions, management and control of risk, marketing and service delivery to clients and regulatory compliance, which generate the demand of technology in over 500 banking institutions affiliated to the Federation of Latin American Banks and other financial institutions operating in Latin America.
