Physical and logical data encryption
Currently one of the most common threats is the theft of laptops. A third party in possession of a laptop or accessory potentially has access to sensitive information with serious repercussions for the company.
It is essential to protect not only business interests but also certain data for legal reasons. Article 23 -Distribution of media - and article 26 - Telecommunications - of Spanish Law (15/1999), refer to the obligation to transmit and store high-level data in encrypted format to guarantee its confidentiality. It is also recommended by the ISO/IEC 17799 standard.
